I can say that the person I was when I started playing The Talos Principle was a total moron compared to who I became in completing the entire game as far as sigil puzzles go. We are focusing on the flat version for now. You'll get better at them once you overcome a few mental hurdles. I left my game there, went for a run, and when I came back in a relaxed, refreshed, clear-headed way, I was able to do it. It was the first time I'd seen such a large sigil puzzle. I almost gave up once on one of the Messenger Islands. Tenacity is your best friend when doing these, as is patience. I cant remember the exact details of the ending, so this may be incorrect, but its my head canon nonetheless. The Talos Principle 2 is a thought-provoking first-person puzzle experience that greatly expands on the first games philosophical themes and stunning environments with increasingly mind-bending challenges. Some of the puzzles have a lot of symmetry to them and those are easier, but most don't.
Don't fall in love with a particular type of solution, such as insisting on putting the long tetrominoes symetrically in the middle or on the edges or putting the 'L'-shaped tetrominoes in the corners.
A lot of the time, you can take out and rotate the pieces that surround it and come up with an approproate solution by rearranging just those. Often, you'll come to a point where you have all the pieces but one left, but it's the wrong shape. BTW The game is great, every pcmasterrace member should try it (free demo is available on all systems). The Talos Tetris puzzles were mostly easy for me, I think there was one that took me 10 tries but usually just a couple tries.
Ive played a bit of Tetris as a kid and overall my brain thinks geometrically. It will greatly (and we mean greatly) expand on everything that made the original special. I was totally expecting there to be an 'oh shit' gigantic puzzle somewhere in Talos to reach an easter egg. If the number of spaces isn't a multiple of 4, whichever tetrominoes you've placed on the board are already incorrect. The Talos Principle 2, launching on PlayStation 5 later this year, is the long-awaited sequel to this beloved puzzle game. If you have a few contiguous spaces on the board, count how many spaces there are.
